Crimson Moon Armory Guide

The Armory is the permanent library of equipment you have purified. It gives future hunts more starting options, but it is not a simple best-item ranking.

What Is the Armory?

Official support material describes the Armory as the permanent library of every piece of gear you have purified. Once equipment is purified, it becomes part of your collection and can be equipped from the Loadout Station before future hunts.

Think of the Armory as options, not a ranking. A newly purified item expands what you can build around; whether it is correct for a mission depends on your weapon plan, Weapon Arts, Boons and upgrade investment.

How Equipment Enters the Armory

  1. Find it in Gildenarch. Equipment discovered during a hunt is immediate run power.
  2. Purify it back at Sanctus Clypeus. Purification permanently adds that equipment to your collection.
  3. Equip it at the Loadout Station. Once purified, the item becomes available for future loadouts.

Purification

Gear Purification is the unlock step. It turns discovered equipment into permanent collection options, so the Armory can offer that gear later instead of limiting you to what drops inside the current hunt.

Permanent Quality Upgrades

Purification and upgrades are separate systems. The official Blacksmith flow is: find gear, purify it so it is permanently yours, then upgrade it so it is permanently stronger. The hub matters because the Blacksmith handles craft and upgrade work between hunts.

Choosing Starting Equipment

The Armory stores the options, but the Loadout Station is where you turn those options into a starting setup. Use the Armory to understand what you own, then use the Loadout Station near the portal to equip gear before deployment.

Armory vs Hunt Equipment

LayerWhat it meansHow to use it
Armory equipmentPurified gear you permanently own.Choose it before a hunt as part of your starting loadout.
Hunt equipmentGear found in Gildenarch during the current run.Use it immediately if it improves the attempt.
Blacksmith upgradesPermanent improvements to owned gear.Invest in equipment you expect to keep using across runs.

Upgrade Priority

Recommendation, not an official ranking: prioritize upgrades for gear that supports a repeatable plan. A weapon, shield or armor piece that works with your usual Weapon Arts and Boons is a better early upgrade target than an item you equip only once.

Higher difficulty increases the chance of rare gear, and elite enemies, bosses and mission rewards are the officially described places to target better finds. Exact drop rates and item tables remain Unverified.
